This section will focus on hiking trails in Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide (click here for their own website – English version). As it is basically my back garden I will try to document the trails in different seasons as well.
Enjoyment without barriers? View options here.
All photos are mine, unless explicitly mentioned.

Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide literally translates as Border park Easywood (just kidding, Kalmthout, calm/easy wood, does not need translating) Heather, although “Heide” is also a borough within Kalmthout. The Dutch territory is more commonly known as Brabantse Wal (Brabant Escarpment). Both links lead directly to the English version of the websites. Both nature parks are part of Geopark Schelde Delta (a list of all geosites). English speaking people (and war enthusiasts) will certainly recognize the name Schelde (or Scheldt) from world war battles or heavy floods.

Shrouded Saturday
Morning walk in heather lands.
Foto Friday
I wonder why US English has not changed back photo to ‘foto’. Nothing special, just the scenery from my window. Enjoy your weekend!
