Introduction:
My hiking experiences will be published here. Please do brace yourself for complete random train of thoughts, often derailing somewhere along the road. Also the occasional rant but mostly questioning the reasoning behind words and expressions.
For sanity reasons I started hiking. To make sense of a nonsensical world. During hikes I often philosophize. Preparations for hiking trips include place name etymology and history of the region. Many questions arose from just walking, trying to clear my head from the cobwebs of life.
My first and second language are not English, so please be respectful and appreciate the quirks or weirdness in use of words or placement. I have lived on the Emerald Isle for quite a while, I was participating in the second Celtic Tiger.

My hikes concentrate in the Netherlands and Belgian border region but will fan out across both countries and perhaps beyond.
